NYC Spore: The Sacred Geometry of Harlan Emil

Come join in a night of network-wide celebration as Evolver.net launches it’s first ever Evolver Spore, a monthly off-line activation involving fifteen different cities around the globe. In NYC, We’ll be honoring the sacred geometry of artist Harlan Emil in a fundraiser that will help him manifest the strikingly big and beautiful “Amethyst Portal.”

The night features visual sacred geometric presentations by Emil and Lisa Paul Streitfield. Five different “Portal” models will be on display, as well as “The Structure of the Vacuum” from Nassim Haramein's work, and the debut of the new “Quasar Wave Transducer” prototype, which will be for sale. Harlan will also have Portal pendants and hardcover Portal books available for purchase.

Evolver will present a 17-minute film called "6 Ways Mushrooms Can Save the World," by mushroom pioneer Paul Stamets. The movie discusses the rich networks mycelia create to allow new life to emerge. The movie will be followed by a short panel discussion: "Spreading the Network" with Jordan Schachter of TINY (Time Interchange of NY) TimeBanking/Complementary Currency; Andrew Faust (permaculturist) from The Center for Bioregional Living; and Daniel Pinchbeck, author (“Breaking Open the Head” & “2012”), co-founder of Evolver.net and Reality Sandwich.

After that, there will be a sound healing ceremony, social games with the ID Project’s Joshua Adler, and a mixer with tabling from groups around the city. Please join us and share your ideas about how you might like to get involved. Come hungry. There will be vegetarian food available for purchase from 6:30pm - 8pm -- Harlan's famous New Mexican Green Chili Stew, plus beer and wine. Arrive early because it will be a packed night and you won't want to miss a thing!

Harlan's dream of an Amethyst Portal

An indigo colored 17 foot high stellated dodecahedron constructed of plywood, wood and steel with an open interior space accessible to participants. This space will be able to accommodate people to experience the Portal and to interact in other group activities, such as the Galactivation Sound Healing ceremonies that were hosted at the Sapphire Portal last year.

Housed within the stellated dodecahedron will be the Quasar Wave Transducer: a subsonic non-linear dynamic analog feedback device sound sculpture that produces frequencies in the range of the Earth’s Schumann resonance and human brain waves to activate the Portal experience. This has been contained in all previous Portals and a new refined version is planned for this year. There will be purple LED lighting for illumination at night. The lights and sound will be powered by sets of deep cycle batteries that are recharged by a bank of solar panels located at the Portal Collective camp.

In keeping with the progression of the placement of each new Portal, it will be located at 2:22 between the Esplanade and the Man. This is the first time a Portal will be located within the city making it much more accessible than the previous ones that were located quite a distance out.

The Amethyst Portal is colored indigo to relate to the brow or third eye chakra and the geometry follows the forms incorporated in the other Portals by utilizing the stellated dodecahedron:

“The Stellated Dodecahedron holds the template of all the preceding templates expressed as geometric forms. It is an expression and model of integrated completion and coherent unity of all the foundational templates. The Stellated Dodecahedron stimulates us to evolve into self-realized conscious awareness with our open heart and with high levels of impeccability, self-responsibility and integrity. It also helps us integrate and harmonize a true group unity.”

If you would like to see this on the playa, we need your help to make it happen. It will cost between $10,000 and $20,000. Help is needed to raise these funds. Please join the Portal Collective to manifest this Portal at Burning Man 2009.
