Two mammoth cosmic events take place this week, both of which highlight the mercurial messenger in all of us: the Solar Eclipse and Venus retrograde. It is a time of personal growth and mental stimulation. May both inspire us to play and enjoy the endless proces of learning.

This Full Moon's motifs of the disciplined warrior of sincere effort echo much of the recent rebellious, but grounded fervor in the United States since the Sun's entry into the sign of Lady Justice, Libra.  A massive movement, whose fire first smoldered in New York, has now ignited citizens across the country.  

Although tempted to commit to projects or risky ventures, we should be very careful with so many planets in Aries, and with Mercury retrograde, now is not the ideal time to make commitments or contractual agreements, but the best time to reflect and plan ahead. Aries is very aware of the impermanence of life and lives by the motto "seize the day."

Often, knowing our power as creators and healers, we are overwhelmed with multidimensional awareness, our abundance of gifts to share, our desire to expand into our infinite potential.  This can challenge us to make decisions about where to apply our creative energy and how to develop our healing gifts. 

The Egyptian protests broke out just as two fiery planetary giants met in the sky -- the Sun moved into a conjunction with Mars in the sign of Aquarius: the radical visionary, the revolutionaries who fight for freedom, who unite in a cause for liberated rights for all.

Uranus and Pluto in the dynamic square aspect promise a totalizing effect that catalyzes a radical shapeshift in culture, stripping us of what is no longer essential and what has outlived its usefulness.  It will be up to the artists, healers, and lightworkers to vibrate at a frequency so high as to magnetize others in our collective ascension to a more enlightened species.

2011 promises to be a very active year with strong surges of change and evolutionary potential, due to Jupiter's inspiring acceleration through Aries, and the year's four Solar Eclipses.  We haven't had this many solar eclipses in a year since 1917. 

A rare total lunar eclipse is set to darken the night sky during the solstice. The connections with the galactic center provide significant opportunities to access Galactocentric Consciousness, to imbibe the wisdom and revelations of the 2012 prophecies, and to raise our frequencies to vibrate as a galactic intelligence.

Attending to one's dreams, waking visions, and synchronicities is the foundation of shamanic consciousness, and was an integral component of the ancient world, especially through the dream healing practices related to the Greek god of healing, Asclepius, known in the heavens as Ophiuchus.

As we accelerate our transformation of collective consciousness, we attract more intense and significant relationships. How can we fulfill our soul agreements through appropriate relating rather than social conditioning?

With the preponderance of planets in Libra and Scorpio, it is an especially appropriate time for couples' counseling, for pujas, for tantric practice and sex magic, and group circles about relating.  Anyone with planets in Scorpio or a Scorpio rising will be triggered with extra force during this retrograde, as will the entire Pluto in Scorpio generation (1984-1996).

Each planet and sign rule or have affinity with certain elements of the weather or nature. Capricorn rules the mountains and Pluto rules volcanoes. The Earth's rumbling intensity of 2010 in Haiti, Indonesia, Chile, Los Angeles, Tibet, and Iceland signify the beginnings of many transformational, tectonic shifts over the next decade.

The Saturn-Pluto transit can promote a fear vibration; we may see more freak-outs and chaotic outbursts.  Transmuting this dark shadow, shamanic, cathartic practice will help us navigate the inner friction that is clawing its way to the surface.

The Grand Cardinal Cross of summer 2010 far surpasses any events on the winter solstice of 2012 for catalyzing consciousness.  The whole next decade, and even the priorities and motivations for humanity's next century are being seeded in the trance-formations of 2010.

On September 7th, Mercury, the trickster storyteller, turns retrograde. This retrograde cycle asks us to pay special attention to our relationship realm. Are we being fully understood, are we listening with our hearts, are we making the effort to communicate as directly as possible? 

This summer the evolutionary forces of Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron unite in the last degrees of the humanitarian idealist, the galactic visionary, the cosmic kindred, the paradigm-shifting harbinger of the new age, Aquarius. This month and throughout this summer we are asked to deeply investigate our identity as true Spirit.

As we approach the election, the unexpected is becoming inescapable. That is the nature of the Saturn-Uranus opposition, which becomes exact on Election Day.

A titanic surge of royal power and inner confidence abound with Sun/Moon/Mercury/Venus/South Node all conjunct in Leo, nearly all personal planets in the sign of personal power and creative self-actualization.

Since this New Moon falls on many of the USA's personal planets, including the Sun, Venus, and Jupiter, let's discuss what it means for us as a nation to consider our roots, our sense of "security" and Home.

This is a time to back up our hard drives, a time NOT to sign contracts, attempt to repair vehicles, nor purchase any travel, communication, or computer devices. This summer's eclipse could bring in a whole new layer to complicate things, including something with the current administration.

Today, in Chichen Itza, a sacred Mayan ceremonial center in the Yucatan, an event is occurring that merges sky and earth, sun and stone, an event of rebirth.

The hands of the Divine Architect are prying open a very special cosmic window, beginning on Friday March 7th, with the New Moon in the sign of the imaginative mystic, the compassionate poet, the enchanted dreamer, Pisces.

It is appropriate that Valentine's Day falls in the month of Aquarius, and that both astrology and technology are associated with this sign of universal freedom and idealistic individual expression.
