Terry Riley's "In C" @ Parkside Lounge

Come join us for a night of Minimalist/Psychedelic Classical Music! We will be performing Terry Riley's "In C", one of the seminal pieces of music in the Minimalist repertoire. It will be performed at Parkside Lounge (317 East Houston Street) at 9:30 PM on Monday, March 22nd. Although you may not know who Terry Riley is, there is a good chance you have heard a little of his work. The Who's "Baba O'Riley" features a synthesizer that was programmed with the assistance of Mr. Riley, hence the title "O'Riley". "In C" is essentially a sonic blanket that will help soothe your synapses. The piece runs for about an hour, more or less, and is meant for a "psychedelicized" audience (words from Riley himself).
