Portland Urban Foraging Walk on Earth Day!
At Urban Foraging 101 you’ll see, touch, taste, smell and even smoke a variety of new plant friends. We will talk about how to identify them, and discuss their nutritional and medicinal benefits, how they were historically used, how to harvest them, and what to do with them. We'll cover purple dead nettle, dandelion, plantain, stinging nettle, chickweed, lemon balm, cleavers and more! After the walk we'll sit in a park and smoke wild-harvested legal herbs and talk about the relationship between plant consciousness and humans.
The class is designed for newbies. Expect it to be fun, laidback and packed with info!
$16 in advance, $20 cash in person. You can register online through TrackersNW here: http://trackerspdx.com/outdoor-adventure/edible-and-medicinal-plants/urb...
