Integral Yoga and Ambient Groove Present Mirabai Ceiba. Join Angelika and Markus for an evening of music and chanting. With deep, rich journeys into the sound that is lush, earthy and otherworldly, you will travel the world through their music. Their incredible vocals are accompanied by Angelika`s harp and Markus` guitar to stunning effect. The name Mirabai Ceiba expresses the influences of both India and Native Latin America. The Ceiba is the sacred tree of Latin America, where these trees are never cut but are allowed to grow very tall.

Mirabai Ceiba is a musical project created by Angelika Baumbach from Mexico/US (vocal and harp) and Markus Sieber from Germany (vocal and guitar). They have published several albums with Spirit Voyage Music and perform a compilation of original songs, sacred chants and Gurmukhi Mantras. Jamshied Sharifi, outstanding musician and producer from NYC, produced their latest album ‘A Hundred Blessings’ in 2010. http://www.mirabaiceiba.com/

Jamshied Sharifi's initial focus in music can be credited to American jazz, it is his infusions of elements from the Middle East and Africa that make his music distinctive. He is an accomplished pianist and synthesizer player.
