I was in the Hancock, NY last summer at a friend's lake house. There happened to be a Gasland screening in town that weekend.Many residents were not aware of the dangers of hydro-fracking drilling for natural gas and many of those folks had already leased their land rights for drilling to the gas company. It was an emotional night at the movies. Since that time I have discussed this pressing issue with many, many normally well informed people in the New York City area and have been amazed at how few people really know anything at all about the catastrophic harm that is about to be visited upon our water, our lives and our planet. I began to feel helpless and angry so I wrote a song about it. I recorded the song with the help of Nashville song writer, Terry Radigan at her studio in Brooklyn. I am selling that song on CD at all of my performances for $10 and am donating 50% of the profits to grass root groups raising awareness. Knowledge is power and in this case knowing about what is happenin can stop it from happening. Let's spread the word together. Thank you.
