The Chanupa, or sacred pipe, is an instrument of prayer that opens up a direct line to Creator. We will be gathering in Central Park at the Bethesda Fountain to connect to the energies of Humanity.

It will be a prayer ceremony for the healing of the People. There will be three Sundance Chanupas to be lit; however, all chanupas are welcome to attend (please arrive no later than 12 noon).

For people with Chanupas, its important to pack our pipes beforehand...We will begin with everyone at 12:30pm with a short history about the chanupa, followed by the lighting and smoking of the chanupa. Timing is important as this is the hour to connect to the nergies of Life/Earth--which is the purpose/focus of this chanupa ceremony.

**A potluck picnic celebration to follow ceremony. Please bring a dish to share.**
