PRESENCE, PRACTICE AND VEGETALISMO

We all are witnessing the disintegration of much in our world that once seemed solid and secure. The ground beneath our feet is literally shaking, and everyone knows it. How are we to stand before the onslaught of the unknown?

Working with the plant medicines is a tremendous opportunity to venture into similar territory—to open within to that which is profoundly unfamiliar, beyond the reach of anything that our conditioned mind could have possibly conceived.

Perhaps an option is the resolution of duality, dissolving the suffering of separation, opening to the healing space of unconditioned awareness and intimacy.

You are invited to join a community of fellow-travelers for a unique and powerful investigation into the world of Vegetalismo supported by abiding in unconditioned awareness, whether you have had experience with the plant medicines or not. We will be expanding the potency of our contemplative practice to open into spaciousness, as we enter the sacred world of entheogens, exploring ‘who [or what] enters’ this expanding river of life, exactly as it is.

Retreat days will be structured, but spacious – time to walk, meditate, write, and of course, dialogue. Often our meals will be taken in silence. We will also meet as a group to prepare, engage, process, and integrate the unfolding exploration. Participants will be working with one another and highly qualified resource people in a carefully designed format, yet the specific content of each day will arise from self-assessment and group needs.

The nature of this retreat is radical and somewhat experimental; no specific result or experience can be guaranteed. All aspects of the retreat will be conducted with the health and safety of the participants foremost in mind and heart. Preliminary medical screening is part of the process. The resource team includes two certified counselors (one with extensive PTSD experience). The combined experience of the resource team and high 2:1 participant to facilitator-ratio should be sufficient to meet most eventualities.

When we drink the medicine of non-separation, we discover what we really care about, what is truly calling us in our life, right now. No one else can tell us what this is. But we can come together and create a seamless field that supports this kind of investigation. As our constructed world crumbles, is it not time to fully embody a full-hearted and deeply creative response to life?

"Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we have been waiting for." — Hopi elders
