Evolver Spore: Dress to Skill
Our world is a complex network of interdependent systems. Aspects of modern American society have allowed us to develop a sense of independence, yet, are we truly self-reliant? Are your needs met solely by yourself?
If you are someone who can authentically answer yes to this question, please come to our gathering and teach us, the willing unaware. If you are in a different category, please come to the gathering and share your strengths and what you want to learn with other human beings who also have strengths and a desire to cultivate new ones.
Synergy (multiple elements working together for a common cause) is absolutely key to the survival and growth of humanity, and at present many elements of our survival are in the control of institutions that have not-so-humanitarian motives. In order to genuinely develop a self-sustaining and desirable society, we must discover our true needs, assess whether or not they are being met adequately, and recognize ways in which we are already skilled.
July’s Evolver Spore topic is re-skilling. The Chicago Evolver Community is making re-skilling THRILLING! Like a never-ending show and tell, we are growing a capable community through the shared exploration of our abilities and resources. During this month’s meeting, we will discuss what skills we feel are valuable to human survival, the individual abilities that we bring to our communities, and what we can do to empower ourselves to grow together instead of apart.
Please join us at the Benton House of Happiness (3052 s Gratten Chicago, IL) on Wednesday, July 27th at 8pm for this month’s Spore. Our agenda includes a surprise re-skilling activity, passionate and entertaining conversation, and the growth of the community through sharing. Tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided. ☺
