Our attachments have an impact on how we relate with the people we love, most importantly in the relationship with ourselves; by distorting and filtering our perception, not allowing us to see life as is. Before we can let go of our own attachments, we must first become aware to what level we have invested our sense of self in each one of our beliefs.

At age 14, Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr., first translated his grandmother's prayers, lectures and workshops from Spanish into English, developing an early understanding of his family’s Toltec teachings. After a ten year apprenticeship with his father Don Miguel Ruiz, Sr., and his grandmother Madra Sarita, Miguel Jr. used his teachings to find peace with himself through a private journey that turned him from a young apprentice into a full Nagual. His father's guidance, coupled with his own unique experiences, allows Miguel Jr. to lead others as they find their own personal freedom. With strength from his wonderful wife and two young children, he passes on his family's rich tradition through workshops, lectures and power journeys.
