Black Elk, whose autobiography Black Elk Speaks, is considered to be among the great spiritual classics of the 20th century, had a great vision as a child that seemed to presage a time of great destruction and great promise for his people and the people of Mother Earth. In this weekend workshop, Ed McGaa Eagle Man, Lakota Sioux author of 9 books, including Mother Earth Spirituality (43rd Printing Harper Collins) and Creator’s Code, will be in central Virginia to teach us Black Elk’s Environmental Prophecy. A Friday night talk in Charlottesville, VA will be followed by work with the Four Directions/Six Powers of the Great Vision which is happening now and as predicted).

Ed (Eagle Man) McGaa, J.D. is a registered Teton Oglala, born on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Following his childhood ambition, he became a Marine Fighter Pilot and flew 110 combat missions in Vietnam. He holds a law degree from the University of South Dakota and is the author of nine books, including Mother Earth Spirituality (Harper & Row Publishers), Nature’s Way (Harper/Collins) and Native Wisdom (Council Oak Books). Eagle Man participated six times in six years as a sun dancer under the tutelage of the holy men Chief Eagle Feather, Chief Fools Crow and Ben Black Elk.
