Evolver Spores: 2012 & Beyond
Wed, February 15

We find ourselves in the year indicated by the Long Count of the classical Maya as a threshold of transformation - and our world is in the throes of major changes. Along with the acceleration of climate change, and a species extinction crisis continuing to unfold on the earth, there is tremendous civil unrest and outrage against what some have called a shift from democracy to "oligarchic neofeudalism," a deepening divide between the super-rich and everyone else. While mystics and psychic channels have approached the end of the Long Count on December 21, 2012, as a potential "dimensional shift," what seems more possible right now is a mass awakening to the damage humans have done to the planet in our current semi-conscious state. Then we can take responsibility to become co-creative with the evolutionary process, rethinking the design of our social systems and the ways our collective mindset have been programmed by media and education.

This month, 40+ Evolvers Spores will explore and discuss this critical situation and what can be done about it. Many Spores will host screenings of the visionary documentary film, “2012: Time for Change” directed by Joao Amorim and Evolver co-founder Daniel Pinchbeck.
