I have been having more and more lucid dreams and I am beginning to ask more and more questions. Funny how the path down the rabbit hole works like that. Last night I had one that made me wake up scratching my head.

You and I damn well know that Avatar earned best picture this year. But nooooooo, Cameron's ex-wife had to go an make a war movie that actually has a little concept behind it but really only made me sick to my stomach. Watching a dude defuse bombs for two hours will do that apparently. I give a lot of credit to Cameron for what he did with this movie.

I find myself thinking about potential a lot recently. It is rather daunting to think about at times. The infinite amount of possibilities that are there silently waiting within every moment of experience. I looked at my hand the other day and wondered what might spring forth if I was in a dream and could manifest anything instantly. Or better yet, asked the dream to decide for me.

Where can you talk to a guy pounding beers in Sacramento in his lazyboy, a bored history major at UNC with fine appreciation for pop art, a lot of erect penises, and a med school student from Caracas raving about Hugo Chavez in one evening? You guessed it: Chat Roulette. The first time I heard about it a person told me never to go on it.

Wasn't D.A.R.E. hilarious?! I can't help but look back on my public school drug education with out releasing a fond sigh. It's as if only yesterday, Officer Guerrucci came into my 5th grade classroom and warned my peers and me about the dangers of the altered states induced by LSD in which we would surely see insects crawling all over our arms and then rip our flesh away to take them off.

I've been studying lucid dreaming for about 8 years. Lucid dreaming is simply being in a dream and realizing that you're in the dream as opposed to being in the dream and having the thought not even cross your mind that you could have crossed dimensions. I know most of this crowd knows the difference but you'd be surprised how many people have never even heard of the concept.

Perhaps this is a common sense for anyone who has gone into the thing we like to call the ego. We give ourselves names and titles and that is suppose to be what we are. After a short bit of searching it is easy to see that we are truly none of these things that we so often choose to use when building the structure of our identity.

I don't know a whole lot about love. It seems to be everywhere I look and yet I have yet to really find a good definition of what it is after all of my searching. However, there is one quality of love that seems to ring true. Love unites. When the entirety of the human body unites and works together, that person will feel healthy. Perhaps it is the nirvana that some of us are searching for.

It recently occurred to me that I am good at certain things. This may fall short of the most profound thought that one could have. It is a very simple thought. However I feel that it's a thought that many seem to forget too often. We tend to get distracted for one reason or another and fail to look at the gifts that we are already given.
