Fighting the Hydra Heads of SPAM

Hi Evolvers,

This is just a quick note to let you know we are aware of the SPAM onslaught currently wrecking havoc on the Evolver site. We are working with our tech team to get things back to normal.

Evolver has NOT been sabotaged or abandoned. The pic on this post is one Mike Henderson posted about his perspective battling this storm of marketing filler crap.

Intense Love and a Belief in the Internet

Although our first Evolver Intensives video course, “Awakening the Cosmic Serpent” ended a few weeks ago, it continues to serve as a guiding light in my life, illuminating a shadowy edge where obligation and inspiration meet.

Slaughtering SPAM

As many of you know, we've been dealing with an onslaught of SPAM on Evolver. I want to apologize to all users who have received SPAM in recent months--whether as comments on their blog posts or as emails notifying them of these comments. It pains me every time I see SPAM on Evolver or RS and I do my best to get rid of it as soon as it appears.

Heath Ledger's Secret Appearance in Inception

While watching Inception I realized that Mal (as played by Marion Cotillard) was a specter not only of the character Dom Cobb’s dead wife but of someone who wasn’t technically in the movie at all—Heath Ledger. Dom Cobb (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) is a doppelganger of the film’s director Christopher Nolan—who also directed Ledger in the The Dark Knight.

E+SM Presents SynchLink

Chat Roulette is one of the flavors of the moment on the internet. It's simple: The site pairs you with a random videochat partner. You can click "next" any time, or stay with your current pairing. Chat Roulette has been described as, "The Internet. UNFILTERED." The lure is seeing something strange--or doing something so strange that you blow your chat partner's mind.

Universal Feedback and Online Groups

This past year I had an insight that everything that exists is a feedback loop both created by and creating an exchange of energy. What’s more this exchange is constantly happening—on the level of atoms all the way to galaxies and black holes, the universe IS a fractal flux falling apart at the same time that it comes together. It’s a snake eating it’s own tail.

Carl Sagan On Pot

Recently there was on article in Boing Boing http://www.boingboing.net/2009/10/07/carl-sagan-spaced-ou.html about how Carl Sagan smoked pot. He contributed an article to a 1969 book called "Marijuana Reconsidered" under the name, "Mr. X" but has since been confirmed as the author.

Glitch Nation

Is it possible that by becoming hyper aware of the way we experience reality we can change that reality? Perhaps a UFO sighting IS the experience of that change. The object in the sky is a blind spot in the context of our gaze—something that escapes our understanding and doesn’t make sense—a glitch that tears open reality at the seams.

My experience with Clouds of Light (in response to Pathfinder's Post)

This post is a re-post of a comment I felt compelled to leave in response to Pathfinder's recent post, "Hummingbirds, Clouds of Light, Sacred Bundles, and Dream Synchroncities". Thank-you to everyone who commented for inspiring me to communicate an experience I've been keeping to myself for several months.

Jesus On Lex

It might not always seem like it but there's a method to the madness. I'm on an art mission. I've got a story to tell. There are many times I want to write about it in a way that just shouts it out--like punk lyrics or an old time blog post, the kind where u let it all hang out--but something stops me.
