Ethical fashion

A friend asked me for my thoughts on "ethical fashion" for a magazine article she is writing... These were my thoughts:

First of all you should check out these fun and educational animated cartoons:

Global Revolution Underway

Saturday’s global rally in over 600 towns and cities worldwide was a momentous event. A month ago, the Occupy Wall Street movement managed to pierce the veil of the matrix. The puncture has now become an unsealable rip in the fabric of Empire. Gas is escaping rapidly from the balloon.

Unify Earth

I am currently involved with a new non-profit initiative to create a global spectacle and peace meditation on December 21, 2012. We have just "soft launched" our website, www.unifyearth.com - please take a look and tell me what you think. This is mainly designed to be a presentation tool for potential sponsors, artists, and collaborators.

What is the mission of the ESM?

Vincenz0h asks in the “Building the Evolver Social Movement” Group:

“So I want to pose a practical question. What is the mission of E+SM and what exactly do we want to achieve? And I mean specifically, not in a vague way. "Build a social movement to evolve consciousness" is kind of vague.

Critique of Zeitgeist Movement and Venus Project

The Venus Project has merged with The Zeitgiest Movement: How are their aims, ideals, and intentions different from what the Evolver Social Movement proposes? (I know we haven't made a clear statement of principles yet, but I am curious of people's intuitions about this).

The Launch of the Evolver Social Movement: A personal view

Today we officially launched the Evolver Social Movement. This has been quite a process for us, one fraught with anxiety and also an odd unexpectedly potent sense of enthusiasm and excitement. I find it is causing me to want to personally review what has brought me to this point. What follows is a look back into the distant past and then a consideration of what is now and what may be to come.

Reasons to Join the Evolver Social Movement

Hi Folks,

Here is my first crack at promotional copy to invite our community to contribute regular membership dues to the Evolver Social Movement.

On one level, I can't help approaching this entire project as a conceptual art project - an example of what the German artist Joseph Beuys called "social sculpture."

Building the Evolver Social Movement

In this blog, I intend to play around with ideas for developing the Evolver Social Movement into a large-scale membership organization. I hope to learn from your comments and direct engagement in this process, as we seek to launch the first phase of this project within the next month.

Utah Retreat Recap

I have just returned to NYC from Boulder, Utah, where we held our first Reality Sandwich retreat. I was extremely happy with this event, which really exceeded my expectations for our first effort. We had about 60 people in total, including staff and presenters. Ron and Brandie and their staff did an amazing job of facilitating and orchestrating this event.
