A Dream Inside A Dream

Just as with My UFO Sighting (3/29/12 blog), another memory came back to me in my 30s. This is a memory of when I was very young - 3 or 4 maybe, no older than 6. I am sitting on the front porch during an Iowa summertime. Its daytime and nobody is around - a rare moment of peace and privacy. I have fallen into a deep reverie and I find myself asking nobody in particular - “Where am I?”

My UFO Sighting

I was 7 or 8, something like that. I was riding home in the family car on a Sunday afternoon after a trip to the grocery store. Everybody in the car was quiet - a rare thing considering there were six of us kids, but it was par for the course on Sunday afternoon. By then everybody was pretty tired and pretty relaxed.

The Tiny Dot, Stockholm Syndrome and the 99.999%

One of my Evolver Friends, Robert Kopecky, recently blogged about the Stockholm Syndrome - that dynamic in human consciousness where the victim of abuse identifies him or herself with her abuser and projects on to them a loving intent.

You ARE A Political Being, Part 2

My friend Evolver Primtive Times had this question for me about what it means to be a political being, and it provided me a great opportunity to elaborate on this idea. And btw, check out Primitive Times blog - a think tank for the Occupy Movement - right here - http://www.primitivetimes.com. Good stuff here.

You ARE A Political Being

You ARE a political being!

I’ve heard SO MANY spiritual people say, “I’m not political.” I have news for you. You ARE a political being. Like a fish swims in water, you swim in a matrix of political thoughts and institutions. And just like the fish is never out of contact with the water, you are never out of contact with the political world that has woven itself around you.

The Progressive Dilemma: Ron Paul Versus Obama

The picture says it all, but read the article, too. This comes from The Liberator Online - libertarians extraordinaire - quoting Glenn Greenwald - a progressive willing to tell the truth about his parties' leadership. A patriot in the truest sense of the word.

In Keeping With My Anti-Government Rant

I submit that for every single instance where government intervenes in our lives to provide us genuine protection - a valuable service of some kind - there are 1000 violations against us. Maybe 10,000 violations.

Of course, there is no way for us to calculate it, but let's try.

For True Freedom, You Need True Conservatism

The following is a comment I posted in response to an article on gnosticmedia.com concerning the author's view of the true definition of liberal, leftist and conservatism.

Government - Don't Do It - It's A Trick

The following is an email I sent to a friend of mine who is registering Republican so that she can get Ron Paul in ahead of Romney and Gingrich. She no longer believes in Obama, but she works for a federally funded educational program that serves the poor people in her community.

Second Hand Humans

Just this week I came across a very interesting perspective on just how it is that we have created a system - an overlay over reality. Education has a huge hand in it. For example, we learn at school what a butterfly is, how it was once a caterpillar, what it eats, how it is part of the ecosystem, etc. So now we have a bunch of concepts in our head about butterflies.

Reggie

I met Reggie at the Chevron station down the street. I was pumping gas and Reggie was begging. Reggie looked to be in his late 50s, a gray haired black man, and he had one of those plastic tubey things in his nose and hooked behind his ears - the kind that hook up to an oxygen machine. For some reason I didn’t notice it at first.

"I speak to you as a Teacher of Light. . . . "

I speak to you as a Teacher of Light and a Wayshower, and I am a Follower. I am a Follower of the Way. I follow the way that leads on this great journey. This journey is something that we follow and it is a journey that we lead others upon. It is something that we have known and promised to do.

Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

Hey Friends,

This week I'll be closing down my Wells Fargo Bank account and opening up a new one with a small, local bank in solidarity with the Occupy Movement and with my human family.

Please consider doing the same!

The Hour Is Late - A Time To Celebrate

I offer this blog to counterbalance my other: a rather heavy pronouncement about the reality-illusion that we are in. And I offer it because it is precisely at times like this that it is most important to celebrate. The energy of celebration sustains and nourishes us through the awakening process and is a reflection and an extension of our divinity.
