Just as with My UFO Sighting (3/29/12 blog), another memory came back to me in my 30s. This is a memory of when I was very young - 3 or 4 maybe, no older than 6. I am sitting on the front porch during an Iowa summertime. Its daytime and nobody is around - a rare moment of peace and privacy. I have fallen into a deep reverie and I find myself asking nobody in particular - “Where am I?”
I was 7 or 8, something like that. I was riding home in the family car on a Sunday afternoon after a trip to the grocery store. Everybody in the car was quiet - a rare thing considering there were six of us kids, but it was par for the course on Sunday afternoon. By then everybody was pretty tired and pretty relaxed.
One of my Evolver Friends, Robert Kopecky, recently blogged about the Stockholm Syndrome - that dynamic in human consciousness where the victim of abuse identifies him or herself with her abuser and projects on to them a loving intent.

I’ve heard SO MANY spiritual people say, “I’m not political.” I have news for you. You ARE a political being. Like a fish swims in water, you swim in a matrix of political thoughts and institutions. And just like the fish is never out of contact with the water, you are never out of contact with the political world that has woven itself around you.

I submit that for every single instance where government intervenes in our lives to provide us genuine protection - a valuable service of some kind - there are 1000 violations against us. Maybe 10,000 violations.
Of course, there is no way for us to calculate it, but let's try.

Just this week I came across a very interesting perspective on just how it is that we have created a system - an overlay over reality. Education has a huge hand in it. For example, we learn at school what a butterfly is, how it was once a caterpillar, what it eats, how it is part of the ecosystem, etc. So now we have a bunch of concepts in our head about butterflies.
I met Reggie at the Chevron station down the street. I was pumping gas and Reggie was begging. Reggie looked to be in his late 50s, a gray haired black man, and he had one of those plastic tubey things in his nose and hooked behind his ears - the kind that hook up to an oxygen machine. For some reason I didn’t notice it at first.
I speak to you as a Teacher of Light and a Wayshower, and I am a Follower. I am a Follower of the Way. I follow the way that leads on this great journey. This journey is something that we follow and it is a journey that we lead others upon. It is something that we have known and promised to do.
