Flirting With Danger: Iboga in the U.S.

The documentary I'M DANGEROUS WITH LOVE, directed by Michel Negroponte, brings viewers face to face with real stories of drug addiction, withdrawal and recovery, following closely the underground practice of administering Iboga, a psychedelic plant medicine commonly used in Bwiti ceremonies. Iboga has been covertly used to treat addiction in the U.S. since the 1960's.

DMT on Film

I've seen ‘The Spirit Molecule’ three times now. Beautiful in just the art and imagery that is interposed with the concepts and conversations portrayed, the film carries a density of information, thoughts, sound and visual components packed into just over an hour of time.

Privacy, Technology, Security and Secrecy: GRAMA & HB477

Again, we are faced with the question: what are the limits and bounds of privacy where it meets with technology? This time voices sing for transparency when applied to government... and issues of land and resource management in Utah tie in as well...

A Civilized Restructuring: Energy Use & Release

This is about changing our approach in terms of just how we deal with commuting, transportation, movement, energy exchanges.

How we as a civilization realize the exchange of energy in a way that is balanced - so we can work, connect, link and also so these connections are not in effect, dependent on a non-sustainable ways and means.

The Right to Privacy

Privacy is quickly loosing its illusion - we're pushing to protect privacy, creating boundaries, setting limits by the extent of our own reach - while inwardly creating thought forms that distinguish what is 'private' and then holding to these ideas religiously - repulsion and attraction - is there a privacy without these energies of 'keep out' and 'keep in' ?

Into the Fire

standing next to the flame, she could feel the rush of blood hot and pulsing with a torrent of bubbling energy through her veins. the sweat covering her now was sweet and alkaline. He would understand, this was something she had to go through... one last look, one last breath, then she stepped in...

Still Surface

The deep turning slowed
and gradually became a shallow ripple
momentum carried on boundless seas
there was no end to this
the observant view became as one distant
- separated by knowledge and memory - time and space
stillness endured
the once great abyss now dissipated
all turbulence gone, all churning exhausted

American Dreamer: Inside Low Rumbles, Light for Newly Found Souls

To Do List from the Buffalo Dream:

*Inside there's a low rumble, caused by slight tension in the stone walls
*If you freeze water, it will expand
*the Buffalo wandering alone on a city street has no face
*It's a long day with cloudy skies, never quite fulfilling the promise of rain
*Make it yours, this is the way it happens

Conversation of the Mind and Heart

I can't always articulate why - I just feel deeply compelled to continue following this path - in this way.

After years of mindful focus in my practice I am applying more -heartfulness- to my experience & process. Drawing, focusing on feeling words and expressions.
When I feel - the expression becomes one of 'well, what is the language of the heart?'

American Dreamer: Paralized by Fear

I dreamt I was seated in a garden, deep in peaceful meditative contemplation before a statue of the illustrious Red Tara. In my mind, thought formed in contemplation of my life as a journey and a lesson. I heard a voice, "Hold out your hands." As I did this, the tiny statue came to life, her small hand took hold of my pinkie finger and stepped off the Lotus flower to be seated before me.

Poem, Darkest on A New Moon Night

I know your secret name. I saw it written in the space between the stars... darkest on a new moon night.
I saw you, swirl up out of the darkest black
where light falls in and becomes defined.
You felt the Universe vibrate and the rhythm
of each breath
the pulsing heart of it all - moved you.

Notes from Within the Superunknown

I have an experience bottled up inside. It's a process burgeoning through technicalities. Side effects of working on expressing this experience include feeling overwhelmed, prohibited, alone, distracted, compelled and weary of a flood - but this is the work - the thing to puzzle about - and as I work the picture is forming, but how can words describe this?

American Dreamer: I Don't Recall the Specifics

Somewhere that night, either at my friends house or along the short walk home, I'd lost the bracelet I was wearing. I was sure that I'd had it on at his house - I remember playing with the loop-to-knot clasp. I must not have pushed the knot all the way through the loop. I called Chris and asked him if he saw the bracelet anywhere in his house - he didn't.

Loss of Memory and the ReMembering

Reaching into the bottom of the backpack, I fished out an old glasses case. Having lost my glasses sometime in the preceding year, I immediately opened the case up. Out poured the sticks and lenses of my glasses - broken in several places.
