I ching

I've been studying and using the I ching for over 10 years. I feel that I have a great connection with it's spirit. If any of you would like to ask me a question I'd be happy to consult it and interpret it's results in return for whatever divinatory skill you can offer in return.

Lazy minded atheists take note..

I am fed up with atheists painting those with belief as stupid. They set up straw men opponents and burn them down with smug intellectual satisfaction. It is the atheists that lack imagination and insight because a God arises from the premises of their underlying philosophy. Scientific materialism is incompatible with atheism.

Anybody else feeling the effect of solar flares?

I've noticed recently that when there have been solar flares that I have felt like a quickening of the astral energies around me. Like the astrological forces and dynamics in my life take on more urgency. It's as if the kundalini force within me is being accelerated.

Aftermath - Part 1

The sun rose at the end of a valley of ruined skyscrapers. That part of the city was flooded. The water reached the third floor of the surrounding buildings. A lone figure stood on a makeshift raft drifting along the golden path of solar reflection. Although going with the flow he used a staff as an oar. He was thinking.

Free I Ching Readings

I've been studying and using the I ching for over 10 years. I feel that I have a great connection with it's spirit. If any of you would like to ask me a question I'd be happy to consult it and interpret it's results.

Types of questions that DO work well:

"What is the best approach to take vis-a-vis (a given situation or relationship)?"

The Ego: Good or Bad?

After doing the meditation I described in an earlier post I had a dream which told me, repeatedly, that I must seek out Steve Pavlina as my fire bending master.

The Visitor - A root chakra inspired dream

Never had there been such a furore in The Kingdom. A representative of the inter-dimensional federation was due to descend to our time slice and space. As the kings chief conduit I was charged with greeting him and giving him a tour of our realm.

The root chakra and the 4D life tree

I'm 23 days into working on my root chakra. I've been meditating every night and getting regular sleep. I've given up alcohol and ciggarettes. I feel more energised than ever.

Systemic scapegoats and political taoism

The credit crunch and global warming is prompting many to suggest that democratic capitalism has failed as a system. People are looking towards alternative financial systems and governmental systems as potential solutions to these problems. I think that it is not the systems that are at fault but our tendency to frame our decisions in terms of the system. Let me explain.

Your life - Easy, Medium or Hard?

t the beginning of most computer games you get the option of choosing the difficulty level on which you'd like to play the game. Something along the lines of easy, medium or hard. Everybody has different preferences as to how challenging they would like the game to be.

Escaping my hypocrisy and being the change

I recently wrote a post about creating a manifesto for change. See my previous blog.

When ever I get disillusioned by the world and I feel my idealism slipping I remind myself of the words of Ghandi.

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

I remember that it's hypocritical for me to bemoan the state of the world when I am a reflection and a cause of it.

Wolverine the shaman?

Not so long ago I visited a comic book shop for the first time in a long time. One thing jumped out at me, or I should say, one man. Wolverine. His image seemed to be on almost every shelf. In 2008, Wolverine was ranked #1 out of "Wizard Magazine's Top 200 Comic Book Characters of All Time" and was ranked #4 of "Empire Magazine' 50 Greatest Comic Book Characters".

Avoid becoming a mindless consumer whore

''till at last the child's mind is these suggestions, and the sum of the suggestions is the child's mind. And not the child's mind only. The adult's mind too all his life long. The mind that judges and desires and decides made up of these suggestions. But all these suggestions are our suggestions!"

Calling all spiritual dam busters!

Every moment information streams in from the dimension above. It affects this dimension at a subatomic level when a quantum wave collapses. Most of the time the information is either cancelled out by the stability of inert matter or the chaos of high energy matter.

How I learnt to stop bitching and love the New World Order

As I grew up and I came to be aware of the world around me and history before me I felt repulsed by the suffering they contained. I surmised that there must be some sort of secret evil society running the world from behind the scenes who are responsible for it all. On reading a little conspiracy literature I found that I was not alone.

Review: Mercurius by Patrick Harpur

Patrick Harpur's previous book The Philosopher's Secret Fire a History of the Imagination changed my life. I was studying Philosophy at university and was stuck fast in a rigid literal rationalist perspective. It opened my eyes to metaphor and myth. By showing me the mythic nature of the scientific world view it was if somebody had pulled the rug from beneath my feet.
