Delving and Dealing with the dubstep sound that has had a rise and seems like a fall out over the past 5years considering the growing numbers of people around the globe tuning into it.
The topic is to try to overrstand, through participation and observation, the flows and cycles of a 'sound' and how it can attracts 'scenes' of people who support them as well as draw away people from it.
Just like genres of music in the past, dubstep has had a peak incline and now it seems with more producers and dj's constantly pumping the sound, its been 'watered down' or diminished in its conceptional purpose.
The 'purpose' being in my opinion to gather like minded peeps who have an need to express through dance and sound the feelings that draw them to such a 'deep dark' aspect of sound. Since we currently live in complex and heavy times, it seem natural for some to be drawn to this sound. But why is it that it gets 'played out' or overdone so quickly.. leaving peeps with a sense of disorientation and/or hopelessness.
Because its a deeper and heavier sound, people gravitate to it for a emotional, physical and energetic release, therefor they want more and more of it..
..but more and more usually means less and less content.. and more mainstream rhetoric.
Why does a seemingly 'anti establishment' 'counterculture' sound turn so rapidly into mainstream wateredown conformism?
Looking forward to your comments and responses.

Evolution is picking up
Evolution is picking up speed. More happens in seemingly less time. Today's novelty is yesterdays fad. Creation is running out of space overflowing out into the streams of consumer mercantilism. Feeding the species a genuine need for a type of psychic healing unfettered by linguistic syntax as we prepare to break threw the chrysalis of our own becoming. To be born into the realization that the anti-establishment is the establishment and counter-culture is it's own kind of culture.
Man is always the master, even in his weakest and most abandoned state; but in his weakness and degradation he is the foolish master who misgoverns his "household." When he begins to reflect upon his condition, and to search diligently for the Law upon which his being is established, he then becomes the wise master, directing his energies with intelligence, and fashioning his thoughts to fruitful issues. Such is the conscious master, and man can only thus become by discovering within himself the laws of thought; which discovery is totally a matter of application, self-analysis, and experience.

Can't be that vague if you
Can't be that vague if you read the whole statement. Isn't this dubstep an intricately texture expression?
Terrence also said a true language would be one to behold. Well you can't behold the speech patterning of linguistic syntax, can you? I'm not saying we should all quit talking or anything. What art and music do is help to give more dimension to communication. But if you notice even that often requires further explanation. The post I left was a type of artwork utilizing common glyphs which we both have developed context for but since you couldn't see the piece the way it was intended. It then requires further syntax, your own art piece is then left slightly uncompleted with questions for the previous artist(me). Which is essentially what I did for the OP.
Evolution picking up speed- whether you attribute this to biology or technology it's still happening. It is our biology which gave rise to all this technology in the first place and this technology appears to me to be a further extension of our biology. This biology drives technology and technology drags us ever closer to the next biological leap in evolution, natural or seemingly unnatural.
Didn't Terrence also say that the only difference between the drugs and the machines is that we can swallow the drugs. Which in our present direction may be swallowing tiny machines in the near future but It's still fueled by the same evolutionary wave function. In turn I believe the machines can never completely co-opt the body since they can only think as clearly as we can conceive and we can only ever hope to understand what we know about ourselves by relying on what we know about ourselves.
My primary caveat is this is based on a presupposition that there is in fact some kind of psychic damage or sickness which we are perhaps recovering from. Creation itself pours out from each of us in it's own way. For some, like the OP dubstep is a huge influence. All artistic expression itself seems to me both symptomatic as well as at least a temporary cure for this psychic sickness.
Is there any language which we can behold? Is it possible that art, music, and literature will play a role in an eventual language which we could behold? Do you think that a language to behold will still utilize linguistic syntax?

dubstep as compaired to breakcore
" Why does a seemingly 'anti establishment' 'counterculture' sound turn so rapidly into mainstream wateredown conformism? "
Using a musical vocabulary, I would hazard to suggest that We are a species are in the process of adaptation. Tuning ourselves to something,,
I would very much agree with the thoughts on Dubstep as a musical free-ing tool; however to contrast, take a listen to Breakcore. Alec Empire, Atari Teenage Riot, Electric Kettle, Drop The Lim, Wisp, or Graz. As a genre foci, Breakcore tends to have 'aggression or chaos, unconventional song structures and sudden shifts of rhythm.' Though it expresses very intense musical material, there is a deeply rooted sense of elegance in the style itself. Using the potentials of energy acceleration from computer, change is occurring. With it's higher frequency presence (as opposed to the low end presence of the Dubstep wobbles), through the means of Breakcore listeners have spoke of allowing their 'micro-mind' (the part of them that micromanages Finances, Chores, Government Systems, or even Systems in General) to relax.
The previous quote, as well as the following, are from the Breakcore wiki article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakcore
' One of the most controversial issues in breakcore is that of the mere existence of the genre. Because it pulls liberally from other musical genres, there is not a consensus on what is and what is not breakcore, or even over the usefulness of the term itself. Because of the fragmentation, the breakcore scene is not centered in any one geographical location, but is rather scattered into disparate groups.'
Many of the leading edge Dubstep producers and artists are integrating ideas from Breakcore, however I do not think that Breakcore as a musical style will ever ""turn so rapidly into mainstream wateredown conformism ""
As energy is manifested, it holds the power of momentum from having left the ethers and entered the physical plane. Though if there is a collective energy-pattern (commercialism, corporate media filtering, etc) that becomes intertwined with a vibration of a different consciousness/frequency/intention/etc there is the possibility of it experiencing change/retuning/decay/adaption.
always interested in crossing paths,
