Hi, my name is Lion, and I was invited here by yellowseed.
On Evolver and Reality Sandwich, I generally find myself arguing for science, and scientific understanding.
In forums of atheists, I argue for conscience, consciousness, heart, love, divinity, and deeper inquiry into the nature of reason.
I do not have much time, so I probably won't be writing here much. I invite conversation by phone, my number is 206.427.2545.

Proposal: Wiki
I forgot in my trimming to include the proposal that we use a wiki to develop shared language, in our conversations.
Here is a URL for such a wiki:
http://www.communitywiki.org/odd/ConSciEnce/HomePage
The idea is that as we discuss and generate concepts and language, that we document our language on the wiki.
This way, we have increased clarity on what we mean, and new-comers can review what has been learned without going through endless thread discussions.
I too think this is key.
I tried starting but I know nothing about html. Help!
The thing is how do we agree on the terms' definitions? Who's terms should we go by?
e.g. my first words would be
"Perception":
all-inclusive term synthesizing the essential function of the organism. Perception; cognition; conception; experience; awareness; consciousness; life; creation; [subjective/incarnate] reality.
then
"Will to perceive":
fundamental drive directing the organism in self-actualization. Will; volition; intent; agency. Active ingredient in every action of the organism, whether at the level of instinct, impulse, appetite, desire, motive, intention, or resolution. Equivalent to the "will to survive", Schopenhauer's "will to live", Freud's "will to pleasure", Nietzsche's and Adler's "will to power", Viktor Frankl's "will to meaning". Will to perceive; will to create: the "creative force".
That's all for now. Thanks Lion.
Let's do some Conscious Science

Looks like this will be interesting:)

Walk through
You might have to walk me through that wiki page. How do you start a post? I want to add book recommendations and other things of interest maybe?
I'v been waiting awhile to get a project like this started with wiki.

Making Wiki Pages
Basically, there are two ways to do it:
1. Edit a page, and write text referring to the name of the page you have in mind. Squish it up LikeThis, so for example, if the page you have in mind is "Quantum Mechanics," include text in the page that says "QuantumMechanics."
2. Hack the URL. Change it from http://www.communitywiki.org/odd/ConSciEnce/HomePage to http://www.communitywiki.org/odd/ConSciEnce/QuantumMechanics, and then click "Edit this page" at the bottom.
