"Dualisms shape our worldview. They include Mind/Matter, Self/Other, Perception/Reality, Quantum/Classical, Wave/Particle, Spiritual/Material, Beginning/End, Male/Female, Living/Dead and Good/Evil.
Wisdom gained through meditation, yoga and mystical experiences suggest these dichotomies are illusory. duality and polarity
This is something I am very interested in at present though I wont be able to attend. Here are my thoughts on this matter anyhow:
As I am seeing it (and I will be exploring this further on my blog http://intothefaerywoods.blogspot.com so watch this space)--I am tired of BS. Of people--including myself--being manipulated through various means to make others rich, and powerful--
I am seeing the world stage kind of divided into a dualism of in the modern west, Physicalism/Computationalism and then we have the Eastern philosophical/New Age concept of 'Nondualism'
So there we have it---Physical vs Mind. Ie., the former believe that the physical isn't minded. Nature isn't conscious, and the latter believing that there is really only 'Oneness'/Mind' with a capital 'M', and our minds, and the phenomenological world, or the world of events, and diversity, and the whole experience is an illusion and/or virtual reality. And that only 'realized' people can see 'beyond' this 'duality' to 'nonduality'. I distrust this. I believe that another concept has been created called 'nonduality' and this concept is used to manipulate people.
How come?
Well, let's first begin with the abuse the Physicalist paradigm does to children and adults. Through its 'education' system it deliberately sets out to *suppress* creativity and make humans conform to authoritarian power, and become compliant consumers (Gatto), and this is further aided by the mass media (Bernays).
IF you should not conform to this oppressive structure, you can be deemed criminal, 'mentally ill', and a 'loser'
The system wages a war against entheogens--a sacred aid that encourages creativity and ecstasy and sense of participation and deep interelationship with nature/universe...
Then we have the 'Nondualist' groups. They claim that people are ignoreant because they are caught up in 'duality', and the answer they give is to follw a belief system (which I am claiming IS dualistic) (The Guru Papers) and use meditation techniques su[pposedly which will 'awaken' you towards a 'nondualist' goal of eternal bliss.
In this schema thers said to be elightened humans who, through reincarnation and good 'karma' are supposed to be seeing nonduality. I am calling this out as being a devious scam. t obscures really getting to the roots of the problems we face in this world!
Which are?
The actual LIVING in this world! Not some contradictory goals that are conceptions--like 'merit and success' which means who can BUY more, and have the most money and power, and/or who is the 'purest' and can experience 'nonduality' and be sure of eternal bliss
BOTH those paradigms do not support entheogenic exploration, because they know they will lose control of their consumers!
There is a vast difference between duality and polarity (Christian Ratsch really explains this well in a latest interview he did with Maxfreakout--check it out). With duality you do not see the relationship, with polarity you do...
