Winter Solstice Session "Spark in the Dark" (EST)

Time has flown by this week and we are quickly approaching Sunday. As we warm up to the patterns of our interactions, we haven't had the chance to discuss our next session yet. Before the event sneaks up on us, I'll take the liberty of establishing a theme. This Sunday's session happens to be just 13 hours before the Solstice on Monday.

In keeping with the hour, the spirit of simplicity, and our awakening efforts, let's meet this week 'in the dark'.

Deep in the blissful relaxation of our own meditative space, we enter the darkness. And there...The rest is up to us. Spark in the Dark. A slow and easy exercise, to continue tuning in, and simply to see what we shall see.

We can describe our experiences here, whatever they may be.

Note that based on last weeks feedback, the time has been shifted one hour later:

Sunday December 20, 2009
11:00p.m.-12:00a.m. Eastern
10:00p.m.-11:00p.m. Central
8:00p.m.-9:00p.m. Pacific

see you then.... in the

see you then.... in the spark in the dark... last night I was playing in the energy.. looking inside the darkness as I lay in my bed........ heheheh, and fell asleep...... but I looked inside the darkness for a long time first.... thought it would be helpful because when it comes to the meditation when I see the spark in the dark I will try to enter it....

(hopefully it will be nice and quiet here... heheh)

Dark and beautiful

My partner and I jumped in on the meditation last night at 7:02 (in CA). I was thrilled to find images of a sort of psychedelic rain forrest at night; giant dark green waxy leaves and bright blossoming night flowers with rainbows hidden in the waters of a small pond. Others who may have ben there were expressed as eyes in the bushes, it was really quite beautiful!

Namaste,

Sorry I missed it!

But I went to see Avatar last night and now I can't help but be keenly reminded of that film!

I lost a wheel

The family Van got a radial bulge OUT that blew a tread off on our way home, Sunday night. It took me all night and day tomorrow or this Monday to get around the factory GM lock nut that earnestly kept our wheel from the threat of being stolen without our permission. My Inlaws knew a couple that even the local Chevy dealer didn't know. They had the simple tool in their shop. A counter threaded lock-nut removal tool made of exceptionally superior reusable tool steel. Let's curse GM lock nuts and popular auto-parts in unison! All the Sunday Auto Parts dealers (and cops) said it would take a torch, and a special hand, and a tow job to NOT warp the wheel! Together, we worked our asses off to make it home at last. I'm sorry I missed the meditation but... It took all eight of our bi-located wits and cash to get us free and rolling again.

glad everyone is okay

and you got your van going again.. and lock nut situation fixed...and tire replaced.. and got your van home...

I didn't make it... but the journey there and back to see my grandchildren was full of geese on the move... they said something is coming.... figure it's a snow storms coming.... or something.... 22,000 geese all headed east by south sends a big message...

glad all it well with you and your family....

Geese

You know, I had a good time creating the banner image for this group. The image of the geese was kind of an accident initially, as I wanted to incorporate the imagery of flight. Then it made sense to me that geese fly together in coherent patterns. But looking further into it after making the decision, I found information on the meaning of Geese as totems:

"Communication
Imprinting Your Life Path

A Goose totem reflects a stimulation of childhood thrills and the belief in stories and legends. The stories we loved as children often reflect our life quest. Think about the stories that affected you the most and see what in them you took into your adult life.

The Goose also helps in communication, especially with the written word.

The Goose was a sacred bird in the Roman temples of Juno; associated with the North Wind in Greek Mythology; and the totem for the Winter Solstice for the Native Americans.

Their honking call speaks of the fulfilled promises that great quests bring."
