The Prophecy of the Condor and the Eagle

Prophecies, like wisdom and being, can be multidimensional with layers of meaning and interpretation. This is appropriate considering the original intention of the human being to be primarily guided by intuition and inspiration from the spirit realm rather than by the "rational utilitarianism" of the ego.

The prophecy of the Condor and the Eagle is one such remembering device that is emerging in these times to spread light over the confused waters of the purification.

Maya shaman/priest Wandering Wolf speaks of the wisdom of the Southern peoples, the Inca, the "condor" coming together with that of the Northern peoples, Hopi, Iroquois, the "eagle", at the Center, the place of the Quetzal, the land of the Maya.

This is fascinating considering that Hopi and Maya elders are now revealing that they as well as many other indigenous Americans all come from the same people. The Anasazi and later the Hopi were migratory descendants of the priestly class of Maya who abandoned their ceremonial centers at different periods guided by the dawn star Venus.

Another layer of this prophecy is shared by John Perkins in "Confessions of an Economic Hit man"
“The Prophecy of the Condor and Eagle” can be taken at many levels — the standard interpretation is that it foretells the sharing of indigenous knowledge with the technologies of science, the balancing of yin and yang, and the bridging of northern and southern cultures. However, most powerful is the message it offers about consciousness; it says the we have entered a time when we can benefit from the many diverse was of seeing ourselves and the world, and that we can use these as a springboard to higher levels of awareness. As human beings we can truly wake up and evolve into a more conscious species."

His interpretation adds another dimension, that of the balancing of spirit and matter (or science). Again, this can also be linked to the prophecy of the return of Quetzalcoatl as the balancing marriage of spirit (quetzal) and matter (coatl).

My own interpretation of these prophecies focuses more on the human ego and body coming into appropriate relationship with spirit. Science and technology will conform to awakened humanity and much, perhaps most, will become obsolete. The miscreations of a sleeping species and the unnecessary prisons of a bad dream. The spiritualized human is wild and free in a garden of abundance perfectly orchestrated, complete and without need of anything.

Eagle and Condor come together in LA

Earlier this month, the Eagle and Condor literally came together in LA -- at Dockweiler Beach and also in my Burbank backyard -- as Peruvian shaman Don Mariano Quispe conducted despacho ceremonies to feed the earth and the Pacific Ocean, and to fulfill a dream he had years ago. He was "asked to honor and feed the sacred places of North America, ceremonially connecting them with the sacred Apus of the high Andes of Peru." Now his dream is being realized, with energetic benefit for us all everywhere.

In his homeland in the Andes, Don Mariano is considered a visionary healer and ceremonialist. He considers himself to be just a "servant" of the earth. To me, he looks like a Peruvian "Yoda" in his multi-colored pompommed ceremonial hat and blanket. But he exudes love, peace, healing and balance. I am grateful to have enjoyed his presence and especially to have his energy at my home, which still gently resonates from it.

He uses condor feathers and coca leaves for healing and prayers. This blending of "condor and eagle" is moving from LA through Northern California, Colorado, Georgia/North Carolina and the Northeast through his first pilgrimage to North America. This is the first time he's been out of the villages of the Andes where he does his work, and he is accompanied by his friend Dennis as his translator. Don Mariano also gives healings and readings, and reports from my friends who had healings or readings from him were glowing.

It is encouraging that a quiet movement in progress to join "the mountains of the North and the Andes of the South" through healers and teachers like Don Mariano. In his despacho ceremony he created what looked like a "mandala" from common materials -- including heart-shaped Valentine candies as he says "Pachamama (Mother Earth) likes sweets!" Some items were put in the mandala with his left hand (for the feminine energy), some with his right (for the masculine), to make sure it remained balanced. To the mandala were added coca leaves which ceremony attendees infused with their personal and global prayers. This was all folded up in a huge paper wrap (like a burrito) and burned to "feed the earth, sea and sky" with its energy. The materials used to feed the Pacific Ocean were different than those used to feed Pachamama during the ceremony at my place which makes sense. Different parts of the earth have different frequencies -- the water flows and cleanses; the earth stabilizes and nurtures growth, or so I believe from my own work with the Four Elements as building blocks of our body/mind/life energy.

For info on Don Mariano's pilgrimage and upcoming ceremonies in Georgia and NC (thru 8/2) or the Northeast US (inc. a workshop 8/7-9 in the Berkshires) or general info about his visit to North America, feel free to contact:

Workshop July 31- August-2 in Highlands, N. Carolina including

Don Mariano Quispe

Thanks Barbara for the wonderful information about this healer's pilgrimage to North America. Unfortunately it seems I came across it to late to be present in the Berkshires which are a short distance from here.

northeast

it sure is good to see this awareness permeating the northeast.
