More Tarot Resources - Voyager Card a Day
Thanks for the resources page -- I'm a resources junkie.
Joy -- also thanks for all the tarot-bilia! Love it!
Here's my contribution: I have over 80 tarot decks (and have taken classes in SoCal with Rachel Pollack who's eternally inspiring). But the deck I use most and teach "Tarot as a Coaching Tool" with is the collage-imaged Voyager deck.
Below is a link to the Voyager Card-a-Day page which changes each time you click on it. You get a card for the day plus interpretation written by Voyager creator James Wanless, PhD. (my teacher/mentor).

Like Rachel, James uses Tarot as a launching pad for our own inner-images and to spur our imag-inations (which both come from the same root word as magic). I personally resonate with the Voyager's collage images as one can get a whole reading from one card even if you don't know much about Tarot or its traditional structure (which Voyager uses).
As a Hypnotherapist/Life&Soul Coach, I use Tarot as a launching pad for personalized guided imagery work with clients. I have them pick a Voyager card (or use one based on a Life Theme reading) and see which image "jumps out" at them. Then we visit/dialogue with it in a hypnosis/guided imagery state. Amazing messages, gifts and insights have emerged from their own inner-guides through this process. I've also created and recorded guided imagery meditations based on some of the Tarot figures, inc. the Hermit and the Magician.

i met an old hippie in eugene, or once. he lived in a conversion van that was filled with national geographics. he claimed that he donated the magazines that the voyager tarot was made from. His name was Lowel, i think.
any truth to this?
