2012 Dreams

This dream seems to specifically involve 2012 so I thought I'd start a new discussion for it and other dreams that might pertain to that topic.

I had this one two nights ago:

I was outside at night in a town or city with people around. In the sky there was the sun, even though it was night, and several planets, all large and clearly visible. They began to moving towards the same patch of sky, in the center of our view, and it occurred to me that that this was about 2012, as several planets are going to align at that time.

The sun and one of the planets then headed in a straight line towards each other and it was obvious that they were going to collide and there was a bit of fear and panic around that. They collided in a dramatic explosion.

A river of planetary fragments began making its way directly towards us. The obvious thought was that this would create destruction, but it never seemed to. Nothing specific happened after that, it just seemed that things continued on.

I'll leave the interpretation up for discussion before offering mine.
