I’m asleep on what seems to be a perfectly normal night, apparently zoning out in the comfortably numb blankness of deep slumber. Suddenly I rouse to a half-wake state - certainly not asleep, but also not awake in the way we’d normally think of being awake.
“I’m about to hear an electronic tone.” The words bounce around in my mind like slow-motion echoes in a holographic canyon.
I’m on my left side, eyes half-open, mind sort of awake, gazing into a small area of blurred light that’s hinting at form in front of me - almost like a snapshot of the sky reflecting on a lake or sunlight dancing around in a pool. Something’s there that I can’t quite bring into focus, something sentient and non-threatening, yet hidden.
Looking into the light, upon thinking I’m going to hear a tone, I hear it, arriving on a rather loud, distinctly electronic wavelength, somewhat similar to my cel phone and the clock on my bed table, but neither. The sound is surreal: out of place, yet perfect. That’s all I remember of it.
Next thing I know I’m opening my eyes to a new day, thinking “what was that?” Hours had surely passed, and still what had happened was right there, waking along with me in morning’s light.

That sounds like an out of body experience especially because of the characteristic tone you mentioned, though your sense of a sentient presence would suggest other explanations.

The sentient presence seemed very much like the "extraterrestrials" I encountered so frequently in the mid-1990s. The timing is also interesting....I've remembered not much, in terms of ET experiences, in many years. And a few months ago I also had vivid psychic dreams, one of which I'll post soon.

I had a similiar experience during a lucid deam. I made a post about it in this group. It's titled Vibrational Frequency and Lucid Dreaming. In my dream there wasn't any presence like you speak of, but I too had a tone ringing in my ears. I became lucid and was trying to remember what I had wanted to try the next time I became lucid. Then I remembered I wanted to try and raise my vibrational frequency. So I closed my eyes and just focused my thoughts on the notion of vibrational frequency. At which point my body began to buzz and a tone started to ring in my ears. In my mind the tone reminded me of the solfeggio frequencies. To me it sounded electronic in nature. It was a very calming dream that left me with a sense of peace. The existence of a presence in your dream intrigues me. I wonder if your tone experience can be related to mine and what connection there could be between the presence and the tone.
I am curious to know if vibrational frequency is connected to lucid dreaming. I greatly enjoy my lucid dreams and would love to use them to raise consciousness.

This forum is probably not the right place for me to post this event, which wasn't really a dream. It was very reminiscent of extraterrestrial and/or interdimensional contacts that I was experiencing all the time around the early to mid 1990s when I was in almost-daily contact with an "other" intelligence, which led to my initiation into the crop circle phenomenon 16 June 1995. You can read about that experience on my website, if you wish (use keywords or tags, try "Inman.") But since a tone + transient "drugged feeling" state hadn't happened to me for awhile, I did post it here to see how others viewed it. I'd ask you, bok255, do you believe you've had contact with a "higher consciousness," regardless of what you call it...?
To address your question about a possible connection between vibrational frequency and lucid dreaming (and vivid dreams, for that matter), yes, I intuit that there is a connection. The more evolved one becomes, the more likely these events/dreams will happen. Some of them are bookends to an interaction with ET and/or ID intelligence, and some of them are our own shamanic presence arising during the time of sleep when the veil is thinnest....so these states may be brought on by an outside source or may be self-directed in our open sleep state.

Though I don't know what I would call it...higher consciousness, the collective...I would say it felt like I connectected to a higher consciousness, a higher vibration. Perhaps it was my own, perhaps it was the collective. I don't really know what I believe it was, but I know what I felt and what I think it may have been. This was an experience I aim to do again, perhaps as these dreams continue I will have a better understanding of them and what they mean.
The next time I have a deam of this nature, Evolver will hear about it.

If this is not the correct forum for exterterrestial or OBE experiences I would like to create one or find one that is. I have had exterrestial and/or interdimensinal experiences all my life and during the 80s is when they really started to pick up. I would love to hear of your own experiences if you care to share. Because my experiences were happening before there were books or television shows about this phenomena no one except my husband believed it. They just thought I was being a little crazy. I also agree that OBEs are accompanied by tones and frequencies. Love reading your dreams and OBEs.
