Reading Recommendations?

I am guessing that this is one particularly well-read group of people.

Am I right?

I'd love to hear your reading recommendations... websites, books, magazines, anything that gets your brain going, especially in reference to the times we are living in, the evolution that is going on (or that you wish was going on), anything world-changing, paradigm-shifting, etc.

Please... share your reading lists here!

I could not resist such a request. Before I make that list, first let me say hello. Hello :) I live in Fuquay-Varina and I am a long way from home...which is Southern California. However, I am aware of the truth in this regard and that is my home is right here under my ass...Gaia. I have no illusions what-so-ever about reality and that really is at the core of all considerations going forward. Also, I love to read out loud. I love language...especially the written form. There is going to be a resurgence of the written form in oral tradition because there will come a day when all technology will vanish and rather than humanity cycle around again to darkness, we will carry on into the never-ending winter, into the light. The following is a partial list of my favorite writers of whom I have read most (if not all) of their works. The work after each is my all-time fave.

Hermann Hesse - Narcissus and Goldmund
Tom Robbins - Jitterbug perfume
David James Duncan - God Laughs and Plays
Hunter S. Thompson - hands down..."the letters"
Arthur C. Clarke - Childhood's End
Robert Heinlein - Job (A Comedy Of Justice)
Frank Herbert - Dune (hello!)
Phillip K. Dick - Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?
Isaac Asimov - Foundation Trilogy
Eckhart Tolle - A New Earth
Jack London - Sea Wolf
Alan Watts - This is It
James Clavell - Tai Pan (I read this in one sitting)

This should suffice for now...on the literature side of things.
