Emergence Retreat 2009
September 18-20

The purpose of this gathering is to bring together three communities working toward transformation, to engage our collective energies for enacting powerful change in our lives and our world. Our intention will be to find those intersections and resonances where the gifts and vision of these groups align, where the union is stronger than our separate efforts. The challenge will be to harmonize our philosophies and approaches, the inspiration and information that guide us. We ask all participants to join in this experience in the spirit of cooperation, kinship, and co-creation – to merge our individual selves and emerge as an empowered community.

Things to Bring:

- Fruit to share for juicing (or juice veggies such as carrots, beets, celery)
- Food (personal) for Sunday “break-fast”
- Sleeping bag / tent
- Flashlight
- Comfortable clothes for yoga and meditation
- Cotton or natural fiber blanket for yoga
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen / insect repellent
- Drums, percussion, flutes

Schedule:

Friday, September 18
6-8 PM: Arrival, camp setup
8-9 PM: Mayan group divisions for weekend
9-11 PM: campfire and music, free-form

Saturday, September 19
Sunrise: Opening ceremony; Yoga & Meditation (2.5 hours)
9-12: Break into "Friend" groups for discussion of morning session; Juice break; Community 2.0 workshop
12-3: Work on farm projects
3-5: Juice break; Art activities
5-7: Sound therapy
7-9 -- Yoga / Sacred Geo Meditation
9-11 -- Shamanic Journeying / Music

Sunday, September 20
Sunrise -- Yoga & Meditation (2 hours)
9-10 -- Break-fast / juice
10-12 -- Retreat culmination -- Closing ceremony

The retreat will be held on private land in Canton, Georgia over the weekend of September 18-20. If you are interested in participating, please send an email to evolveratl@gmail.com for more details. The cost will be by donation, with fruit to share for a full-day juice fast.
