Cooking with Sun and Fire

Join Bob Burns and Isabel Crabtree of the Central Georgia Permaculture Institute and learn how to cook with a Solar Cooker (no fuel needed), a "Rocket Stove." Also included will be cooking on embers and over a campfire. And what the hay is a "Hay Box?"

This class will be held at Oakhurst Community Garden in Decatur.

We will cook some simple basics like rice, beans, potatoes, etc. and will give you a demonstration on how to make your own rocket stove. Plans and handouts included in the class. Note: This is an OUTDOOR workshop so if it rains the class will be canceled and rescheduled. We will have a one hour lunch. (It's best to bring a bag lunch).

$30 Garden members, $40 for non-members.
