Permaculture: An Introduction to Living in Harmony with the Land, will be taught by Permaculture Teachers Bob Burns and Isabel Crabtree, of Central Georgia Permaculture Institute. Class will be held at the beautiful Oakhurst Community Garden in Decatur.
The basics of Permaculture, including principles, designing landscapes, ethics, water catchment and concepts such as Food Forests, Home Ecosystems, and Closed-Loop Systems vs. Through-Put Systems and much more will be covered in this full day workshop. Students will do a walk-about in the Oakhurst Garden to illustrate concepts, and will end the day with a demonstration of a Permaculture related project. Bob and Isabel have both received their Permaculture Design Certificate and together co-founded the Central Georgia Permaculture Institute, an educational initiative at www.georgiapermaculture.com.
We will have a one hour lunch. (It's best to bring a bag lunch). Please contact Stephanie Van Parys at OCG for more info, or to register. Cost is $50 Garden Members, $60 non-members
