precession
Sounds really interesting, and coincidentally I've run across his name a few times in the past few weeks. After reading History and Celestial Time over on the Reality Sandwich site, I took a bit of a deep dive into the "precession" phenomenon. Seems astronomy may be on the verge of proving an amazing new (re)discovery, if they can give up some of their centuries old dogmatic thinking long enough to take a look. Our sun is probably in a binary relationship orbiting another star. And the period of that orbit matches the period of the rise and fall of civilizations here on Earth...
