Come on down for some creative fun while we explore the concept of visionary culture together this Saturday! Hope to see you there! Be sure to make an account on Evolver.net :o)

Evolver Spore Language:
As modern civilization hurtles down a path to self-destruction, bands of inspired people are forging a new culture that fuses the sacred rites and ecological values of pre-modern societies with cutting-edge art, science, and technology. Radically creative festivals such as Burning Man, Lighting in a Bottle, and Boom are at the vanguard of this future-primitive synthesis. It also can be observed in the rise of neo-shamanic literature and art, in the fantastic images of manga and anime, in the electro-tribal rhythms of DJ culture, in mystical hip hop, and even in blockbuster films like Avatar.

This month, more than 40 Evolver Spores will explore how visionary artists and designers can bring about tangible changes to our world.

Hope to see you there! :o)

November Spore

I am working on getting this night off from work. If I can make I would love to contribute. I am a mask maker and a painter. I also love sculpting and working with clay or sculpey, or anything moldable. I can help in doing some mask making or decorating with everyone maybe???

Even cooler would be a colaborative painting or a mandala? We could ask everyone to bring something to add to the painting or mandala. (We could possibly make a theme for it)

Also, I was thinking about something creative that also goes with this months idea of thinking about and manifesting what we want for ourselves and the world. I can show people how to make a sygil to help them in manifesting there vision.

A sygil can be drawn, painted molded and it mixes magick and creativity...it could be fun to do that! If we sculpted the sygils, they could even be built into a talisman of sorts. If we wanted to be super collaborative with the sygils, we could think of one or two intentions and build a couple of big sygils that we could place somewhere that everyone could see them and meditate on.

If we do any of this, I can donate some supplies, but maybe some people can donate a few bux, or supplies as well??

Just throwing some thoughts out there, please let me know if you want me to help in any way!!

As for ideas for space, Prema Sai has a great space that we could try to rent (we could try to get people to put some donations toward it maybe...), but I will keep brainstorming on this...

Blessings,
Kym

Awesome!

That sounds great Kym!!! Love all of the ideas. keep us posted if you get the time off work. We are looking at seeing if we can use Prema Sai for the spore so the exact time we should know soon.

Love the group collaboration thought - this might be easier to manage since it is sometimes hard to plan supplies when we are never sure how many people are coming. If we are able to have extra supplies that we don't get charged for in case they don't get used then an individual project would be possible. I just don't want anyone to be out money!

Cheers,
Matt

Nov 20th- Full moon Festivus! Join us!

Hi y'all!
On Nov. 20th, the same date as Evolver's Spore, there will be a Full Moon Festivus out at the Saskatoon Berry Farm and once again, I think the two work soo well together, Id like to extend an invite to come and co-create with us.
Visionary Culture is what we're all about as well and this time we're starting things off way earlier to accomodate some more Visionaries right here in our tribe who are willing to share some of their wisdom.
The upstairs yoga room will be opening around 2pm with talks/playshops on transformational breathing, thai massage, visualizations, and we're thinking of getting some plywood or material to hang for a group collaborative art project. maybe in the greenhouse.
The superfood bar will be bigger and better this time around too, in lieu of potluck.
The resident chef will stick around for anyone who needs real food too
We've got N'Funkstigation, playing some funk as well as DJs Nate Specktakle, JoyOne, Emilio...
Bhava Ziva and Kirtan will once again fill the yoga room in the later part of the evening, but Evolver can certainly get involved in any way we want!
Matt, if you have any Alex Grey art you can spare, we'd love to introduce more people to his style as well as any other local Visionary artists...
Just putting it out there!))
CHeck out the FACEBOOK EVENT: Full moon festivus))
Love Lisa
