Evolver Calgary November Spore: Occupy The Future

In the light of humanity's awakening, a political uprising has begun that transcends all uprisings that came before it and all definitions society currently has available for it. OCCUPY means many different things to many different people - but one thing is for sure, it has people talking. It has people talking about the systematic issues that hinder the human race from living in unity with each other and the planet in a way that leaves room for solutions.

In this month's Spore we will embrace the lessons coming out of the OCCUPY movements about creating a directly democratic process and utilize them from our spiritual centre to create the solutions the world is crying out for.

***Evening Schedule***

We will start the night with a talk from Alana-Dawn about OCCUPY and what it means holistically as a movement as well as what its significance is in Canada.

This will be followed by a guided meditation and prayer from Josh Wagler – “OCCUPY YOUR HEART”.

After workshops on CONSENSUS DECISION MAKING and PERMACULTURE PHILOSOPHY, we will utilize our creativity in creating a series of solutions for a presented problem: HOW CAN WE TURN CALGARY FROM A SPRAWLING METROPOLIS INTO A CLUSTER OF SELF-SUSTAINING, CO-INDEPENDENT COMMUNITIES?

The results we come up with will be analyzed and structured by a group of permaculture professionals into a PRESENTATION for the November 22 lecture series at the Distillery.

The world needs more than protestors, we need spiritual beings to work together to shine solutions and new ideas into the darkness that surrounds our civilization.
