Awakening in the Dream: April Spore

Evolver Long Beach presents

"Awakening in the Dream": A creative gathering exploring the potential of dreams to trigger personal and societal evolution.

*We will learn about dream yoga practice with Murshida Kadre,
*Talk with "the dream queen" Amy George,
*Screen a video with Dr. Pat Gay, creator of "dream masks"
*Explore our dreams as individuals and as a community, and
*Create music with Jack Marko and local musicians.

We're also thankful for the donation of visuals from Blue Sky Footage, a spoken word performance from JP Lourencio, an altar by Juan Sanchez-Diaz, a special surprise from Living Arts, Christopher Lyles playing harp, and "dream" and "truth" specialty scents from Eye of the Cat.

To prepare for this spore, It is suggested that you take time to remember and reflect on your dreams, looking for themes and nuances that might make for interesting community exploration, as well as personal discovery.

So bring an acoustic instrument to share for our jam session, some blankets to chill on, and pillows! Lots of pillows. It should be a cozy evening of mingling, learning, and exploring the mystery of dream.

Street parking is metered until 9pm, and there is a pay structure on 5th street near Wal-Mart. We always encourage carpool, bike, and public transit.

DREAM YOGA SLEEP OVER
After the spore (near Midnight), we will be led on a dream exploration by Sati Ah, a local Evolver and yoga instructor.

This will happen at a separate location, and you must RSVP via email for that information.

She will basically wake us up every two hours, leading us in an exploration of our dreams. There will also be dream-enhancing tea, made with Mugwart, Sassafras, and Kava Kava, for those interested, as well as pineal gland-activating raw cacao from Elevated Edibles.
