ENTHEOGEN: The Future of Psychedelics
For millennia, cultures around the world expanded minds and visions with “teacher plants” – what we commonly know today as psychedelics or entheogens (meaning: generating divinity within).
After the wild experimentation of the 1960's, government subversion and cultural backlash created a paradigm that has masked the healing properties of entheogens.
Today, new research suggests that they may be just what our schizophrenic society needs, as scientifically verified tools for healing and transformation.
Join Long Beach Evolvers as we explore how a sustainable psychedelic revolution could heal the traumas of modern society, and help us transition toward a more equitable world. The event will feature Charles Shaw and Jan Irvin and several other special guest experts in a fishbowl discussion exploring how we may bring the awakenings gained through Entheogens back to earth and reconcile them with our minds and social systems.
We will also dance to the eclectic sounds of DJ Dravidian, and enjoy a vegetarian pot-luck.
The Spore will occur on Thursday, March 25th at 7:30pm at Light + Space on 620 Cherry Ave in Long Beach. Admission will be $7 at the door.
We will ask that you take off your shoes at the door, so please come prepared for a barefoot experience, and bring a cushion to sit on as we discuss, share, and dance.
Evolvers who would like to volunteer at the event should contact lbevolver@gmail.com.
