IMAGES OF TIME - DVD Release & Presentation

April 9, 2010

Dear family, friends, revolutionaries, mystics, warriors, philosophers, time-travelers, extra terrestrials!

Come join us this Tuesday April 13th for a screening and presentation of the premiere release of IMAGES OF TIME – BEFORE AND AFTER THE MOMENT, as well as the closing reception of SOUL OF TIME, an exhibit by the unique visionary artist and much respected Lakota roadman and Sundance Chief, Marvin Swallow.

Exploring timeless themes in the Lakota way of life and the sacred Medicine Wheel, the art of Marvin Swallow brings us images from the deepest spiritual heart of the Native American culture in our modern world.

The DVD IMAGES OF TIME offers an in-depth exploration into the ceremonial art of Marvin Swallow, inspired by themes from the Peyote sacrament of the Native American Church, the Sundance celebration, and the indigenous Lakota ways of life.

Many of Marvins key works are featured on the DVD and he explains their symbolism and meaning both in English as well as in his native Lakota tongue. Also featured are ceremonial peyote songs by himself and his wife, Water Woman Hiroko Matsuda-Swallow, as well as Sundance songs by “Young Nation” from the Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota.

Traveling nationwide as a roadman of the Native American Church and ceremonial Chief in the Lakota tradition, Marvin Swallow's art is on display in Los Angeles for the first time.

Chief Marvin Swallow and Hiroko Matsuda-Sallow will be present at the event. DVDs are for sale @ $20.
