ABOUT APRIL'S "DREAMS" THEME
Each night as we drift off to sleep, we enter into one of lifeβs oldest and most profound mysteries: the world of dreams. The alternate realms of our visionary slumbers present a puzzling paradox, calling into question the true nature of reality.
Though much research has been done into the subject, the age-old question of why we dream remains as elusive as ever. Are dreams a portal to a higher intelligence where prophetic and
insightful messages are transmitted? Could they be part of an evolutionary process to advance human consciousness?

In this Spore, by examining individual and collective ways to participate in the realm of the sacred unconscious, we will explore the question βwhat are our dreams trying to tell us?β We will seek to uncover patterns in our subjective daily dream experiences and experiment with ways to gain greater lucid participation in those moments, illustrated by Jenny Funkmeyer in her "Ways to Stay Awake While You Dream On" presentation.
Jungian expert Patricia A. Amrhein O.M.D. Ph.D will begin by discussing the C.G. Jungs's "The Red Book", thought to be the most influential unpublished work in the history of psychology by many contemporary scholars. After that she will lead us in a Dream Tendingβ’ Workshop--a journey into the living unconscious of the dreaming mind of the universe, where our dream images are alive and dreaming themselves into being.
This Evolver LA spore is recommended for anyone wanting to expand their capacity to interpret the meanings of their dreams and incorporate the informative value of their dreams into the circumstances and opportunities of their waking life.

We ask all who are inclined to be immersed in the experience of the spore to please monitor your dreams from now until 4/30. On the night of the spore, we will examine dreams from the group. Here are some suggestions:
1) Before you go to sleep, write or think about the dayβs events and your feeling regarding them.
2) As you drift to sleep, remind yourself "I want to remember tonightβs dreams in a manner I can recollect them in the morning."
3) Reserve a few quite moments before opening your eyes to recall your dreams. Linger in a semi-dream state to observe your dream thoughts.
