Over this last weekend I co-produced two short films for Z Fest, a local annual film festival. We were able to develop a partnership with The Wedge, who donated $100 in food, and a local organic chef prepared our meals at cost. We used glass bottles and real plates, instead of paper and plastic. I did a lot of dishes.

This was done under the auspices of what I'm now calling the Eco Film Initiative (EFI). It is a concept designed to implement an environmental standard for film sets. This also translates into other creative group acts such as dance, poetry, book clubs, cabaret, music, panel discussions and essentially any gathering.

If anybody is making Film or other creative group activities in the Minneapolis area and would like to implement a green standard please do, and I'd love to hear about it if you want to contact me. EFI is about local artists sharing awareness and environmental responsibility.
