*Evolver Spore: The Healing Journey*

We live in a world that is ever more toxic, threatening even young people
with cancers, antibiotic-resistant staph infections, new strains of
influenza, and syndromes that are just emerging now. As people discover the
problems with Western medicine in treating many conditions, this growing
awareness is causing an explosion of interest in alternative and holistic
therapies. With options ranging from the Alexander technique to acupuncture,
Reiki to Rolfing, homeopathy to holotropic breathwork, individuals are
taking their health into their own hands, and empowering themselves to learn
and change. In this Spore, we’ll explore diverse alternative health methods
and modalities, as well as how we can work together to implement healing in
our own communities, and society at large.
As part of this Spore, different local groups may want to explore the
polarizing theories around the Swine Flu vaccine – the possibility that the
threat of a pandemic is being used as a political expedient, and that
mandatory vaccination programs may be met with resistance – and examine the
Obama health plan, which may increase coverage to more people but has been
eagerly supported by the pharmaceutical companies.
