Why kimchi?
Since its origins (which date all the way back to 7th century Korea!), kimchi (a Korean pickled side dish, typically cabbage) has stood the test of time and lately received international attention. Today kimchi has a multitude of variations in ingredients and fermentation techniques, and it can be used in a plethora of recipes. In the top five of Health magazine's "World's Healthiest Foods", it's loaded with vitamins, minerals, and lactobacilli - the healthy bacteria which aids digestion and may even reduce cancer growth.
Join us at Cosmic Cantina for an afternoon filled with healthy tips and tricks that are sure to change the way you feel about kimchi. Participants will learn a little about the history of kimchi and fermented foods, and then everyone will learn how to make their own. Each guest will leave with their own jar of kimchi tailored to their personal taste, and knowledge on how adding kimchi to your diet can benefit both your wallet and your health!
