Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at our third Evolver Spore!  Your enthusiasm and support have truly made it a joy organizing these events and push us to make each event better than the last.  This community is incredibly inspiring - everyone has been so kind, patient, open-minded, generous, and willing to share their own skills/talents with everyone.  The actualization of these traits creates a powerful foundation for a cooperation-based society, and I'm optimistic that this network will continue to grow.  While a large part of our events focuses on specific topics and experts within those fields - I'm sure if you've been to any of our events you'll agree with me on this next part - the people who attend these events are what really make them unique.  I love looking around the crowd and feeling this energy.  Last night when I looked around while everyone was mingling, I saw so many people who were truly engaged and engaging, connecting, learning, and happy in spite of the fact that most people were in pools of their own sweat.  Awesome!
I also wanted to highlight some of the people who contributed to last night's success (if I forgot someone, please add to the discussion!):
• Our radiant volunteers and greeters - Krista, Seiko, Susan, Joy, Claire, Ellyane, Shana, Keith, Elizabeth, and Lila
• Charlie and David for their delicious refreshments
• Itzhak, Manuel, Barnaby, Daniel, Jeff and Oriel for speaking and leading the discussions and ceremonies
• Jeff and co (I'm sorry I don't know anybody else's name!) for the filming
• Jordan and Karthik for their help with equipment
• Valerie, Valarie, Henrietta, Nadya, Oriel and Nathan for their organizing prowess
• Jonathan for being Jonathan
• Collective Hardware for the awesome space
Last thing - if you were there last night, please let us know what you
liked or didn't like. Â It would be really helpful to know what people
look forward to or hope for in coming to these Spores, i.e.
structure, speakers, refreshments, subject matter. Â We've got some
really interesting themes and ideas coming up (that can be enhanced with everyone's feedback!) so be sure to check back here for details.

Great Turn Out

It was truly inspiring to see nearly 200 people come out for the Spore -- and many of them managed to endure the sauna-like temp on an miserably muggy NY August night. Folks stayed because the panelists were on point and the vibe was wonderful. Thanks to everyone who helped to organize this event!
