May Spore! Water and water issues in OC

"Water is the universal solvent, seeping through hundreds of feet of soil and bedrock to underground aquifers, dissolving salts and fossils and everything else in its path. It cycles through rivers and oceans, ice caps, cumulus clouds, plants and animals, and is constantly transformed by these journeys. The water in your blood carries the memory of being part of fish, of some kid in China, and some really old Sycamore tree. The oceans of the future will become heavy with the salts the waters leach from the land; glaciers will retreat and advance and retreat again. Water's physical structure and its constant transformation will remain."

Water is a HUGE issue in Southern California. Do you know where your water comes from? Where and how it's treated? Where it goes?

What can we do to change our water habits? We have tremendous power to be effective this way -- 25% of Metropolitan Southern California's water demand is commercial, industrial, or institutional. And 70% of the residential water demand is from single family homes.

Come share your water concerns and learn about local water issues and strategies!
