Earth-Bound
(The Tree of Life)

The Roots:

Precious little thing,
got her head wrapped and cradled
by a blue bear.
Dancing angel in red skin
of white hearts
putting to ease night time bliss
with a sisterly love
radiating perfect memories
in princess transcendence
and home again hugs.

Life can be tough for her,
my little three-year old
while separated from the truth
but wisdom exists in a toddlers world
through an endless bowl
of peanut-butter bumpers cereal
and comfortable slippers
keeping day-time boredom
safely at bay
till her older sister
steps off the kindergarten school bus.

The Tree of Life,
or the Relationship Between Husband and Wife:

My wife and I,
we're blue by choice
carefully selecting our working-class virtues
with a sense of warmth
to raise our children with hope
through absorbent (r)evolution
as we realize that nothing
can be more permanent
than our vibrant consciousness,
intended to represent the best
of what we have to give back
to the rest of this world

Our choice is environmental,
anti-judgmental / pro-relational
transformed by the tough smiles
of two little girls
Earth-Bound and turned-around
by the swirling sounds of visual magic
as we cast a transparent memory
of our eternal identity
in the universal structure
as a loving family.

A Collective Family Understanding:

Everything from this perspective
becomes much easier for me to see
because the walls are rumbling
with the waves of their playing,
or frequently creating
little hand-drawn pictures
based on clear, individual notes
alive and well: electrical and methodical
hung on telephone wire
and neighborhood fence endings
melting in the vast fabric
of our connection as a collective mind

Personal Meditation:

My part of this accord
is a piece of an inspiring design
outlined by the beauty of my wife's
- benevolent eyes -
ordaining the rhythm of a family's life
through spiritual relation
instead of terminal religion
because there is no great or just cause
powerful enough to replace the character
of an angel's earnest, child-full of life
likable smile or deep, whimsical laugh
with an awkward and noticeable pause...

Individual Realization:

The space between present thought end
and future yet to begin is meditative
born into the simple grace of a modern,
house-hold
wife-hold
love
unconditional
I am blessed to be,
eternally Earth-Bound.
