A Free Event This Sat (4/10) That May Interest Philly Evolvers

This was brought to my attention yesterday & it occurred to me that some of my fellow Philly area Evolvers may find this interesting and worth attending. I can't say I'm familiar with the speakers & I have no affiliation to any of the participants, nor the college hosting the event. I simply thought some of you may dig on it, & figured I'd pass on the info. I think I'm going to attend. Perhaps I'll see some of you there??

This is a free event at Haverford College this Saturday, 4/10. One of the speakers is Gregg Braden, the author of "Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012" and "A New World Age".

TOPIC: MAKING SENSE OF OUR GREAT EVOLUTIONARY SHIFT

It has become increasingly evident in recent decades, especially upon entering the 21st Century, that humanity is facing unprecedented crises on a planetary scale as we shift into a global age. And there appears to be a heightened awareness that the human family is in the midst of a long-emerging evolutionary shift as we awaken and mature as a species. There are of course quite diverse understandings of the depth, nature and magnitude of this “shift” and how it addresses the crises that now threaten our sustainability and even our survival on earth. In any case there is a growing sense that humanity over millennia has been in an ongoing evolutionary maturation and our collective global wisdom suggests that we have arrived at a most exciting tipping point or great shift in our human drama which has brought us to the threshold of an awakening to our conscious, intentional or mindful role in our evolutionary future, an unprecedented crossing into conscious evolution and facing our moment of choice.

Joan Borysenko and Gregg Braden are two eminent voices, both New York Times best selling authors, who will help us in “Making Sense of our Great Evolutionary Shift”.

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D.
This distinguished pioneer in integrative medicine is a world-renowned expert in the mind/body connection. Her work has been foundational in an international health-care revolution that recognizes the role of meaning, and the spiritual dimensions of life, as an integral part of health and healing. Eloquent and inspiring in settings that range from hospitals to hospices, from theaters to conference venues, and from boardrooms to houses of worship, she is a credible bridge between faith and reason. Gregg Braden
New York Times best selling author Gregg Braden is internationally renowned as a pioneer in bridging science and spirituality.
