This is an interesting article on new research regarding how the protein alpha-synuclein functions in the brain. What struck me were the descriptive parallels on the molecular level to much of what is discussed here. Terms like, dance, shape-shifting, resonance, switching back & forth "between states", etc.

Since we have several med students in the group (and at least one neuor-scientist), I just thought I'd toss this out for some feedback....is it a reach to see this as a micro-visual manifestation of creative/destructive potential that we can metaphorically apply to our condition in the macro world? If so, what lesson does this hold...
