Relocating- Here to say 'Hello'

Hey Portland,

I'm traveling from Long Beach, Ca this week to try my hand in the Northwest. I've been cooking in restaurants forever, so that's where I will probably begin my job search, and from there I hope to move into something else.
I'll keep my ears open for the next spore and/or events I can participate in, but I'd dig hanging out with new friends in the mean time.
Let me know what's going on and where the best coffee/tea in town is. I'm thumbing up there, so maybe I'll have a cool story or two to share.
