Gathering Members!

Okay, so we've been up for almost a week and I'm frustrated to say that the "we" is yet imaginary. Though the people I've met and talked to seemed interested, it feels like I leave the meeting having shared my passion and seen enthusiasm caught up within the other yet there's this sense of emptiness...as if the question "Is that it?" hangs on the air and I can see their mind working for a piece of pizza. So, how to keep the scattered individuals I've sought out in the community on the gold of the project? How can I close the meeting with their energies focused on letting this really become a part of their life? To end on a resounding note of "we are the ones we've been waiting for"?

It is due time to launch a more viral approach to canvassing and advertising...gotta really take it to the streets....get in a get-up, haul my guitar to the streets, and sing out the word of this melody to my people. Hopefully the flyers I put up will get people on board. In the meantime, I figure Panera Bread can contain us [or just me] for the first spore. I'm determined to hold one even if attendance equals one.

As for a place for the spores, the public library is quite ideal, and we could easily rent the space once we've got ourselves a card-carrying member and at least 60% Princeton-residents. Time to tackle the University though it has frightened me in the past...it is so vast. I hope I can blend in better than I've imagined.

My other effort will be placing an announcement on WPRB's community calendar...maybe get the word out at church too...and of course at Whole Earth!!!
