We have now outgrown the story we have been given, the story we are living today. Our hearts know that a better, more beautiful world is possible. Are you ready to move from intellectual understanding into embodied knowing and bring this new story into being? Are you ready to transform your search for solutions into evolutionary action?

Charles Eisenstein is a healer, traveler, teacher, writer, integrated holistic visionary and evolutionary proactivist. His recent book ‘The Ascent of Humanity’ (www.ascentofhumanity.com) identifies the core of the perceived human challenge… separation… and challenges us to collectively create a new evolutionary path, acting from the heart and mind on behalf of future generations, now.

This gathering is a transmission or an attunement to a new story of self and world: the self of interbeing, living in the spirit of the Gift. Cognitively, we will embed the crises converging upon us today within a vast meta-historical context; experientially, we will translate the heart's knowing -- that a more beautiful world is possible -- into embodied, living belief. Something will crystallize within you, and never again will you doubt what you know or think that maybe it is you, and not the world, that has gone mad. With the power of word, attention, and presence, we are gathering to catalyze the next step of the revolution in human being-ness.

7:11-7:30: Opening Meditation and Announcements

7:30-8:30: Community Cook-In & Superfood demo
We got the idea for a 'Community Cook-In' based on the story of stone soup.

Each person who attends should bring one ingredient beginning with the first letter of your name (for example, Regina can bring radishes). We'll provide a soup base, and use the ingredients brought by all to create a salad and to add to the soup.

Additionally, Superfood Scientist Ananda (founder of the SeraPhi center where we'll be meeting) will do a hands-on demo of one of his magical creations while explaining his psychi-science and unveiling new discoveries... beyond the beyond.

8:38-9:09: We'll bless & eat our creations, with an informal conversation with a few local food personalities (TBD).

9:11-10:10: Edible City trailer and Q&A with directors

About this month's theme, from Daniel Pinchbeck:

"In the last fifty years, the meteoric rise of agribusiness has wreaked havoc upon our global food supply. Corporate entities like Monsanto and Cargill are wiping out agricultural diversity with monoculture crops, bankrupting small farmers with unsustainable practices, toxifying our waterways with pesticides and fertilizers, treating animals cruelly, and endangering the web of life with genetically modified foods.

But a growing movement is striking back and taking action to maintain our food security in the 21st Century. These “greenhorns” are creating CSAs, tending rooftop gardens, building aquaponic systems, learning permaculture principles, starting Transition Towns and eco-villages, urban homesteading, saving seed varieties, and practicing slow food ethics to ensure agricultural sustainability. In this Spore, we will, explore and discuss the alternative food networks cropping up in our local communities, as well the importance of nutrition in our lives. Spores may want to look at current FDA dietary recommendations and contrast them with the rising interest in organic/live foods, ayurvedic diets, superfoods, healing herbs, and more."
