Each night as we drift off to sleep, we enter into one of life’s oldest and most profound mysteries: the world of dreams. The alternate realms of our visionary slumbers present a puzzling paradox, calling into question the true nature of reality. Though much research has been done into the subject, the age-old question of why we dream remains as elusive as ever. Are dreams a portal to a higher intelligence where prophetic and insightful messages are transmitted? Could they be part of an evolutionary process to advance human consciousness?

The first segment of this Spore will feature a presentation on Dreams, and the second component will be an interactive group sound experience designed to facilitate a dreamlike state of consciousness.

International astrophysics research is painting a believable scientific portrait of galactic, solar, and planetary changes in the years to come that will dramatically affect human life on Earth.  The burgeoning science of biogeomagnetics – how the Earth's magneticfields are related to the behaviors of living systems – suggests that solar cycles directly influence the human body and mind, including our states of consciousness and historical cycles.  Some of the most compelling work in this field has come from the study of dreams and their correlation with local magnetic fluctuations...  Inquiries into the nature of consciousness have revealed how sensitive our brains and memories are to geological changes – suggesting that periodic events such as pole reversals might trigger a cascade of effects that profoundly impact human experience and perception.  What does modern science have to say about dreams and the clues they offer us about our place in the cosmos?  And what can we do with this knowledge?

Evolver Spores are monthly events taking place in over 30 cities around the world. Spores are conscious gatherings pioneering a unique new social space blending Educational, Inspirational, Experiential, and Communal, and typically include a combination of one or multiple short lectures/presentations, interactive group experiences, music, meditation, multimedia, and good old fashioned 'hangin' out.'

Each month's Spore is on a theme collectively chosen by the Regional Spore Coordinators & the founders of Evolver -- past themes include Gift Economies, 2012, Peak Oil & New Energy, Psychadelics, Love, and other open-ended topics relating to the consciousness movement (broadly defined). The regional facilitators creatively plan their own events, inviting speakers, musicians, artists, healers, etc from their local community, ranging from well known groups, like Transition Town, to individuals within the Evolver community who have something to share on an area of personal expertise.

* More core coordinators to help plan, promote, and facilitate events

* A great community space in the East Bay (that can accommodate 50+ people) to become our East Bay hub for monthly meetings etc
