The world’s water is its lifeblood – and ours. Join Evolver SF as we flow into the know, starting with a sobering glimse into the politics of this sacred element with an excerpt from the documentary "Blue Gold," soaking into our inner being with an NVC Empathy Circle led by BayNVC representatives and author Floyd Earl Smith, and culminating with a water ritual led by Shamanatrix Missy Galore. We'll include a discussion segment in which Evolver members also have the opportunity to share resources and knowledge on local water issues.

About the Water theme
**********************************************************************************
As untold gallons of oil gush into the Gulf, we are sadly reminded of that most vital ingredient to all life on Earth: water.

Though it covers almost three quarters of the planet and fills nearly 70% of our own bodies, this precious and seemingly boundless substance is becoming increasingly scarce and imperiled. At the same time, this ephemeral element possesses magical shape-shifting powers, evaporating, condensing, freezing and melting in a flux of physical states. Water summons the lunar, feminine, and intuitive wisdom of consciousness, with our vast oceans granting us a glimmer into the enigma of how this life-giving substance came to our planet in the first place.

About Evolver Spores **********************************************************************************
Evolver Spores are monthly events taking place in over 40 cities around the world. Spores are conscious gatherings pioneering a unique new social space blending educational, inspirational, experiential, and communal, and typically include a combination of one or multiple short lectures/presentations, interactive group experiences, music, meditation, multimedia, and good old fashioned 'hangin' out.'

Each month's Spore is on a theme collectively chosen by the Regional Spore Coordinators & the founders of Evolver -- past themes include Gift Economies, 2012, Peak Oil & New Energy, Psychadelics, Love, and other open-ended topics relating to the consciousness movement (broadly defined).

Evolver San Francisco is currently looking for the following volunteer positions:

*Sporeganizers

Sporeganizers produce and promote the monthly Spore events. Duties include brainstorming and contacting speakers and performers, making arrangements with venue, sending event invitations, collecting email lists at events, facilitating (if desired), etc. This is a creative and rewarding position that also requires punctuality, follow-through, and responsibility.

*Sacred Literature Tour Liason

Due to our relationship with www.RealitySandwich.com (same founders), Evolver has access to many visionary writers and speakers who are interested in co-partnering with Evolver to sponsor their book tours.

EvolverSF has need for someone who can serve as a liason for these authors as they come though SF. Duties include sending out event notifications on Facebook, Evolver.net, etc, and being present at the event to give a brief introduction to Evolver and collect email addresss. Perks include getting to hang out with authors such as Daniel Pinchbeck, Graham Hancock, Charles Shaw, etc. If you are interested in volunteering to assist with one or more of these book events, please contact us ASAP.
